• Women’s Lacrosse Clinches First Ever Postseason Berth With 12-8 Home Win Over St. Joseph’s-L.I.

    The USMMA women’s lacrosse team used a spectacular second-half to defeat visiting Skyline opponent St. Joseph’s-Long Island, 12-8, on Saturday at Brooks Stadium. With the win, the Mariners have qualified for postseason play for the first time in program history, clinching a spot in the upcoming Skyline Tournament. They improve to 10-2 (5-0 Skyline), while the Golden Eagles fall to 5-7 (3-2 Skyline).

The Mariners came away with a big 18-9 victory over the Knights to improve to 10-2 (5-0 Skyline), while MSMC falls to 11-5 (4-1 Skyline).

    The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's lacrosse team cruised to a 17-3 victory over rival SUNY Maritime Wednesday evening at Brooks Stadium. The Mariners improved to 9-2 (4-0 Skyline) after their sixth-straight victory, while the Privateers dropped to 3-8 (1-5 Skyline). The nine wins is a new program record, besting the mark of eight set by the Mariners back in 2016.
  • Baseball Drops Road Non-Conference Game At CSI, 2-1, On Wednesday

    The USMMA baseball team lost a non-conference contest on the road at The College of Staten Island on Wednesday night by the final score of 2-1. The Dolphins won the game via a walk-off double with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. The Mariners’ record drops to 23-8 in defeat, while CSI improves to 10-13.

    On Monday, the Skyline Conference announced that U.S. Merchant Marine Academy junior Jessica Reilly (Sayville, N.Y.) was selected as the league’s Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending April 15. The recognition comes after the midfielder’s performances in the Mariners’ two conference wins last week – an 11-6 triumph on the road at Mount St. Vincent on Wednesday and a 19-7 home win over Old Westbury on Saturday.

    On Monday, the Skyline Conference announced its weekly award winners for men’s tennis and USMMA freshman Andrew Carey (Moseley, Va.) was selected as the league’s Player of the Week for the week ending April 15. This is the third weekly honor from the Skyline for Carey this season, as he was named the conference’s Rookie of the Week twice already (March 26 & April 9).
  • Renard Earns A Spot On Skyline Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

    USMMA junior Jack Renard (San Clemente, Calif.) received a Skyline men’s lacrosse weekly honor roll nod for the week ending April 15, the league announced on Monday. The accolade comes after his performances in the Mariners’ two games last week – non-conference losses on the road at Montclair St. on Wednesday (13-12) and up at Army against arch-rival Coast Guard on Saturday (14-9).
  • Campbell & Heck Land On Skyline Baseball Weekly Honor Roll

    The Skyline Conference announced on Monday that a pair of USMMA baseball players were selected to the league’s weekly honor roll for the week ending April 15 – senior designated hitter Bryson Campbell (Cool, Calif.) and freshman pitcher Quinton Heck (Massillon, Ohio). The kudos comes after the duo helped lead the Mariners to a 2-3 record (2-2 Skyline) over five games last week.

    The USMMA baseball team got back in the win column on Sunday with a doubleheader sweep over Skyline opponent Yeshiva at Overpeck Park in New Jersey. The Mariners took the opener by the final of 22-0, before winning the second game, 20-4, to improve their record to 23-7 (10-4 Skyline), while the Maccabees fall to 3-14 (0-12 Skyline).

    The USMMA men’s lacrosse team lost its annual rivalry game against Coast Guard, 14-9, on Saturday at Shea Stadium on the campus of the United States Military Academy. The game was a part of Military Appreciation Weekend at Army West Point, which included a men's & women's Army-Navy lacrosse doubleheader also at the Academy up at Michie Stadium. The defeat drops the Mariners’ record to 9-2, while the Bears improve to 10-2.

    In each of the past three days, USMMA senior attacker Pat Coll (Clifton Park, N.Y.) earned three big weekly recognitions for the week ending April 8. On Monday, he was named the Skyline Conference Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, before being selected to the USILA Division III National Team of the Week on Tuesday and finishing out the honors with an ECAC DIII Metro Regional Offensive Player of the Week nod on Wednesday.

The recognition comes after MacElrevey’s performances in the season-opening TCNJ Invitational this past weekend.

This is the second time this season that Willard earned this accolade (March 19), and it comes after she helped lead the Mariners to a 16-7 road win in their Skyline-opener at Farmingdale State this past Saturday.

The Mariners won the opener, 7-4, and took the second game by the final of 1-0. With the victories, USMMA’s record improves to 21-4 (8-2 Skyline), while Maritime falls to 14-9 (4-4 Skyline).
