Slusarczyk Named Skyline Pitcher Of The Week; Mariners Drop Centenary Game And Add NYU On Wednesday

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (April 18, 2017) – The Skyline Conference announced early Tuesday morning that USMMA senior Nathan Slusarczyk (Woodbury, N.J.) was named the league's Pitcher of the Week for his performance in the game one win over St. Joseph's-L.I. on Saturday. This is the second time this season that the lefty earned this honor, as he did so back on March 13 as well.

Slusarczyk pitched a complete-game shutout against the first-place Golden Eagles to earn his second victory of the season. He pitched his way out of a no-out, bases-loaded jam in the sixth inning by getting three straight outs. The senior scattered seven hits over the nine innings, while also fanning five St. Joe's hitters.

They will now host New York University tomorrow, Wednesday, April 19, for a single, nine-inning non-conference game. Live coverage for the NYU game will not be available.
