Mariner Football Team Participated In Annual Jack's Run For Autism Awareness 5K On Saturday

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (May 8, 2017) – This past Saturday, May 6, USMMA Football participated in the annual Jack's Run for Autism Awareness 5K race. The event took place in Port Washington, N.Y.
 
11 Third-Class Midshipmen and Head Coach Mike Toop '77 ran the 5K. It was the 11th running of Jack's 5K in support of the battle against Autism.
 
The Midshipmen who ran along with Coach Toop were Alec Furiak (Quantico, Va.), Jesse Byorth (Billings, Mont.), Charles Deegan (Huntington, N.Y.), Brooks Cannell (Ambler, Pa.), Elias Yu (Flower Mound, Texas), Addison Radcliff (Orlando, Fla.), Jake Wallace (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Jake Davis (East Chatham, N.Y.), Jake Biehn (Apple Valley, Minn.), Joe Bellomo (Holliston, Mass.) and Dominic Spadafore (Lodi, Calif.).
 
Several Mariners posted impressive times, as Cannell and Wallace finished second and third overall, respectively, and first and second in their age group. Davis took first in his age group and Coach Toop took third in his age group.
