KINGS POINT, N.Y. (May 9, 2017) – The Skyline Conference announced the 2017 Men's Lacrosse Postseason Awards and All-Conference Teams on Tuesday and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy junior Nick Treon (Danville, Pa.) was selected by the league's head coaches to the All-Skyline First Team at attack.
Treon led the Mariners and ranked second in the conference with 5.40 points per game (81 total) and 2.53 assists per game (38 total), while his 2.87 goals per game were good for fourth in the Skyline. The junior was also second on the squad with 38 groundballs and 10 caused turnovers.
Of the 15 games that USMMA played this season, Treon recorded five or more points in nine of them, including one where he matched his career-high of 10 points, one with nine and two with eight.
He was the Skyline Player of the Week on April 3 and was selected to the conference's weekly honor roll three times throughout the year (March 13, March 27 and April 24).

Treon helped lead Merchant Marine to an 11-4 overall record, including a 7-2 mark in Skyline action which was good for the #3 seed in the conference tournament. It was on the second time in program history that the team recorded back-to-back double-digit wins in a season. The Mariners concluded the year in the Skyline Semifinals last week.
