Kahl Earns 2016-17 Skyline Men’s Swim & Dive Scholar-Athlete Of The Year Award

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (July 13, 2017) – On Thursday, the Skyline Conference announced the 2016-17 Scholar-Athletes of the Year for all 17 sports that it sponsors and USMMA junior Christopher Kahl (Solomons, Md.) earned the award for men's swimming & diving.
 
The Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award is presented to the first-team All-Conference performer who carries the highest grade point average (minimum 3.30) for the semester in which the student-athlete competes (for USMMA in swimming & diving, this is the second trimester).
 
Kahl set meet records at the Skyline Championships in the 200 individual medley (1:58.62) and the 200 backstroke (1:53.51), while also swimming the leadoff leg of the record-setting 200 medley relay (1:36.19). In the classroom, Kahl is a Marine Engineering Systems major.
