MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (March 3, 2018) – This weekend, three USMMA divers – juniors Kara Korengel (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Thomas Curry (Los Angeles, Calif.) and freshman Gillem McMillan (Knoxville, Tenn.) – traveled up to Middlebury College to take part in the NCAA Diving Regionals. The trio was competing at the two-day event for a chance to qualify for the NCAA National Championship Meet later in March.
McMillan had the Mariners' top finish on the men's side, as he came in 10th place in the three-meter dive on Saturday with a score of 437.55. The freshman also scored a 338.70 in the one-meter dive on Friday. Curry placed 18th to lead USMMA in the one-meter dive with a 358.35 and he had a score of 312.00 in the three-meter dive on Saturday.
Korengel earned a 314.90 in the three-meter dive on Friday and finished the season with a score of 306.55 on Saturday in the one-meter dive.
