After Willard scored her second of the night to put USMMA back ahead, Ramapo struck right back 20 seconds later to tie the score and then just over a minute after that to take a 6-5 lead at 4:21. McHugh ended the scoring in the half with her third, assisted by Parker, at 2:21 and the two teams went into the locker rooms tied up a 6-6.

The Roadrunners came out strong to start the second, scoring just over a minute into action to grab a 7-6 advantage. The defense tightened up over the next 10 minutes, as the next goal didn't come until 19:28 when Ramapo scored their second of four consecutive. McHugh scored the final of her four goals at 8:57, but the Mariners could not inch closer.
