KINGS POINT, N.Y. (March 13, 2018) – On Monday evening, the Skyline Conference announced its weekly award winners for women's lacrosse and USMMA junior Jessica Reilly (Sayville, N.Y.) earned a spot on the league's weekly honor roll. The recognition comes after the midfielder's performances in the Mariners' two games last week – a 20-3 road win at Notre Dame (Md.) on Thursday and a 17-6 road loss at Kean on Friday.
Reilly filled in the stat sheet for Merchant Marine in both of the games. She led the Mariners with 10 goals, 11 groundballs, 13 draw controls and seven caused turnovers on the week. The junior put in an eight-point effort (7G, 1A) on Thursday with six GBs, five DCs and two CTs and followed that up with three goals, five groundballs, eight draw controls and five caused turnovers on Friday.
Among all Division III women's lacrosse players in the nation, Reilly ranks in the top-30 in two statistical categories. Her 5.0 goals per game are 21st in the country and her 5.5 groundballs per game rank 28th.
The Mariners are back in action tomorrow evening, Wednesday, March 14, when they host Centenary at 5:30 p.m. The game is part of a lacrosse doubleheader at Brooks Stadium with the men's game following. Live stats and a live video feed of the game will be available with links on the USMMA Women's Lacrosse Schedule Page.
