KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Feb. 9, 2018) – This past Wednesday, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced that junior Kara Korengel (Cincinnati, Ohio) was selected as the league's DIII Metro Diver of the Week for the week ending Feb. 4. This is the third time this season that Korengel has earned this recognition (Jan. 17, Jan. 30) and it comes after her performance in the Mariners' road loss in their dual-meet finale this past Saturday, Feb. 3, at Rowan University.
Korengel had the Mariners' lone victory of the meet, as she placed first in the three-meter dive (six dives) with a score of 245.55, to earn nine points towards Merchant Marine's team score. She also came in third place in the one-meter dive (six dives) with a score of 216.45.
