KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Jan. 23, 2019) – On Monday, the Skyline Conference announced that USMMA junior Erica Lou (Flushing, N.Y.) earned women's Swimmer of the Week, while senior Kara Korengel (Cincinnati, Ohio) was selected as the women's Diver of the Week. This comes after the Mariners' performance in a road meet at Coast Guard this past Saturday.
Lou had two first-place finishes on Saturday - winning the 100 breast in 1:13.94 and the 200 breast in 2:38.04 (both season-best times). Her time in the 200 breast was also a Roland Pool record. Additionally, the junior came in third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:25.34.
Korengel came in first place in both the one-meter dive (213.22) and the three-meter dive (253.80) events on Saturday, well ahead of her competition.
