Title: HOF Class of '15

One of the most decorated sailors in U.S. Merchant Marine Academy history, Allen Lindsey ’85 was an integral member of four National Championships while attending Kings Point. He led the sailing team to back-to-back Henry A. Morss Memorial Trophies as the Co-Ed National Champions in 1983 and 1984, while also helping the dinghy squad capture the 1983 Walter C. Wood Trophy for college sailing’s Team Racing National Championship, the Academy’s only claim to the Wood Trophy to date. Lindsey was also a member of two squads that earned the Oxford University Trophy as National Runner-Up in 1982 and 1985. Lindsey was a four-time All-American selection throughout his career. He was the second person in intercollegiate sailing history to accomplish such a feat.
